The word is getting out!

I just recently received this email from a wonderful lady in Upstate New York. It seems the word is getting out nation and world wide about renting your gown. Thank you Nikolett for sharing and we look forward to hearing about your own rental business.

Hi Ladies,
First off, I have to say that I love the wedding gown rental business. I also would like to open my own rental business in the near future hopefully sooner than later. My husband and I live in Queensbury, NY and there is no business like yours around here. I came from Budapest Hungary and in my country you can only rent the gowns not really buy them. Most brides buy only the veil or shoes before they come to try on dresses. I spent so much money on my own gown in America, and I wished we had the opportunity to rent like home. I love that you guys kept the business going, I think in today’s economy your kind of business will blossom =) and more people will realize that renting is more budget friendly and they could use the saved money on a down payment or on the honeymoon. I wish nothing but the best for the business, and maybe someday (SOON) I can sent you some pictures of my business here in Upstate. Thanks a million for your inspiration, yours truly

Feeling Elegant

Hi Roseana

My mum told me that you’d asked to see pictures of me in my wedding dress! I absolutely loved it – it was so comfortable and I felt so elegant; I really hope you’ve had other brides borrow it and be as confident and happy a bride as I was because of it.
Two pics attached – one of my dad walking me down the “aisle” (my parents’ deck!), and one of me and my husband on Skinner Butte.
Thanks again for doing what you do!
cheers -
Rachel

Eugene CoverRecently I had the chance to talk with Eugene Magazine about brides choosing their perfect gown. The Eugene Weddings annual magazine was curious to know what some brides should do and look for in a wedding dress. I was honored and delighted to take this opportunity to share insights and ideas that I felt all brides needed to know for picking out that very special gown.

I spoke about everything from;

Setting The Scene

“Before you go dress shopping you need to set the date and book the venue, says Roseana Perry of the Eugene bridal boutique Something Borrowed. One of the biggest mistakes that brides make is not considering the setting and the season. A December Catholic church wedding is going to require a very different dress than a June backyard-barbecue wedding, for instance.”

Budgeting Basics

“Brides frequently don’t factor in the cost of alterations, undergarments, shoes, accessories, and preserving the dress, say Perry.”

Practice Makes Perfect

“Learning how to put on the dress and bustle and sit in it, as well as use the facilities while in the dress is and art.  Consider bringing a reception outfit or having a second dress that is easier to dance in. Having a backup is important in case someone steps on your train or you find it difficult to move in your dress, says Perry.”

You can purchase the Eugene Weddings at your local store or you can contact them directly. It is always good for the bride to know all her options and have many choices to choose from.

My personal thanks go to Brian Jones Photography for taking some great photo’s for us. We loved working with you and look forward to working with you again.
